Aberdeen Asylum – an Historical Perspective’
an illustrated talk by Fiona Musk
Join NHS Grampian's Archivist, Fiona Musk, for an illustrated talk on the history of what's now Royal Cornhill Hospital in Aberdeen - originally Aberdeen Lunatic Asylum.
She will detail its development from its origins within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary at Woolmanhill, using the extensive records held by NHS Grampian Archives, which includes information on both patients and the administrative goings on.
Fiona has a keen interest in the history of Aberdeen and the North East, having previously worked at Aberdeen City & Aberdeenshire Archives before joining NHS Grampian Archives in 2015.
