Scott M. Rennie

The Rev. Scott M. Rennie was inducted as the Minister of Queen’s Cross Parish Church on Friday 3rd of July 2009. A native of Aberdeen he was raised in Bucksburn, and remained in the city to read Geography at the University of Aberdeen, followed by Divinity at Christ's College, Aberdeen. Scott served as the Assistant Minister, here at Queen's Cross Church, before winning the Scots Fellowship to study for a Masters in Sacred Theology at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He returned to the UK in 1999, and was subsequently ordained and inducted to be Minister of the historic charge of Brechin Cathedral in Angus. In addition to his parish duties, Scott serves nationally on the Church of Scotland's Taskforce on Human Sexuality.

Away from work, Scott is a keen reader of novels, theology, biography and history. He is also active politically in the Liberal Democrats. To relax, he enjoys music (including playing the bagpipes) and cinema, as well as watching sport. He is a keen football fan, especially of his hometown team, Aberdeen FC, where he is a season ticket holder.
