Queen's Cross Church Redevelopment Project
Ever since its beginnings in 1881 the congregation of Queen’s Cross has been at the cutting edge of community life and faith. We have never been afraid to be bold and step forward in faith, finding new ways to be church and to participate in our community. Over the last few years the congregation has been thinking about how to have a more open and hospitable relationship with the community around us, and this has centred on the work of the Hospitality Task Group.
Our vision for the future of Queen’s Cross is to open a new community hub and quality coffee house in our church premises which will facilitate greater relationships with the community around us and provide a soft interface with the community around us.
We want the new hub to be a social enterprise where we employ folks who find pathways into work more difficult than most. We see this as central to living out the gospel and its hope in the heart of our community.
